president JAMMEH TREATS MORE ASTHMA PATIENTS
20th April 2007:
The sixth batch of seven hundred and forty-eight asthma patients on Friday stormed the Glass House in State House to receive the Gambian leader's asthma treatment.
Speaking to news men shortly after the treatment session, Dr Tamsir Mbowe, Secretary of State for Health and Social Welfare said the beauty of medicine is the restoration of the sick to health. “As you can see, people are coming in their large numbers to receive the Gambian leader's asthma medicine. On average we have five hundred patients but today it has increased to seven hundred and forty-eight. This is an indication that people have confidence in President Jammeh's herbal treatment of asthma. Since the start of the asthma treatment, two thousand, three hundred and twenty-eight patients who received the Gambian leader's asthma medicine have been cured.
The treatment covers the entire nation as some patients who arrived at State House on yesterday traveled all the way from Garawol, Bansang, and Basse. This shows that the treatment is perfect.
Fana Njie, a patient who hails from as far away as Bansang, in an interview with the newsmen, soon after taking the medicine said she had asthma since her childhood, but it was as if she had experienced an automatic cure after taking President Jammeh's medicine. She called on asthma patients who have not benefited to come forward and get the treatment. “It's free so let them come and get the treatment”, she emphasized. Neneh Drammeh and Bolong Dibassey who also benefited corroborated Fana Njie's story.
